The team behind the marketplace
Kusaga Taka Consulting is a niche management and IT services company that has worked in waste tyre management and the circular economy since 2010. This marketplace grows out of that experience, so we understand the equipment and the people who use it, not just the listings.
Who we are

We bring together an experienced management team focused on consulting, administration and IT solutions that lift the impact of work on environmental and socio-economic challenges.
Our specialism is waste tyre management and the circular economy. We served as the operational partner on South Africa’s national waste tyre programme, and to run it we built our own logistics system, Phinda, from the ground up.

Founded
Kusaga Taka Consulting is established, alongside the launch of the REDISA waste tyre programme it would go on to support.

R-filing system goes live
We built and launched the returns submission system in August 2012, which ran with no service interruptions for its users.

Phinda rolled out
Implementing Phinda cut REDISA’s network service costs by 20 to 25 percent, while keeping a tight grip on compliance and reporting.

Fast payments and clear reporting
A 48-hour payment turnaround to micro-enterprises, fortnightly payments to transporters, and detailed activity reports to municipalities covering tonnages remediated and the jobs and revenue created.
